A children’s cricket match went viral on social media for a hilarious reason. In the gentleman’s game, wonders take place and astonish fans. Back in 2024, the T20 World Cup final witnessed Team India snatching the match from South Africa from the stage when the latter needed 30 runs off 30 balls with six wickets in hand. The victory looked inevitable for the Proteas but the miracle happened as South Africa lost the match by seven runs and lost the golden chance of lifting the coveted trophy. A similar thing has happened in a kids’ cricket match.
In a viral social media clip, the iconic dot ball was witnessed in a children's game. During the match, the batter played a shot towards the short long-on and ran to steal the run but the player at the non-striker’s end didn’t assist him and refused to run towards the other side. However, the fielding team made a couple of blunders while hitting the ball on stumps and this gave the opportunity to the batter to return to the striker’s end. Former England captain Michael Vaughan reshared the video of the viral tweet and captioned it “Brilliant.”
Michael Vaughan pulls Wasim Jaffer’s legs after India’s batting collapse in the Lord’s Test
Michael Vaughan has taken a dig at former India opener Wasim Jaffer following Team India’s batting collapse against England on the first session of the final Test at iconic Lord’s. In the opening session, India lost four batters after adding only 54 runs. Until the end of the morning India saw only Ravindra Jadeja as a mainstay batter accompanied by tailender Jasprit Bumrah.
Noting India’s fall, Vaughan taunted Jaffer by writing, “How you feeling @WasimJaffer14.” Earlier, Vaughan also posted Washington Sundar’s clip in which the India all-rounder asserted that India will win the Lord’s Test on the fifth day. Vaughan feels Sundar made the claim much earlier. Vaughan captioned Sundar’s quote clip, “Love confidence but this is a bit early isn’t it ?”
