In the post-lunch session on day three of the first Test match between England and India at Headingley in Leeds, Mohammed Siraj got into the face of Harry Brook, sledging the opposition vice-captain after getting the ball to hit his elbow. The Indian fast bowler, who is known for getting into the face of the opposition batters, went after Harry Brook when he hit a few attacking strokes during the second new ball phase.

The 84th over of England first innings saw Harry Brook hit two dismissive fours on the bowling of Mohammed Siraj, and shortly after, when the fast bowler managed to hit him on the body, he had a few words for him as well, which apparently weren’t pleasantaries. It led to a response from Brook, who first said a few words back to Siraj before gesturing him to go back to his mark and bowl the ball again.

In the next over, Harry Brook smashed a big six on a fuller ball from Mohammed Siraj’s, putting him into the grandstand at the long on region. Although when Harry Brook was on 99, he could only hit the hook stroke to the fielder Shardul Thakur stationed at fine region on the bowling of Prasidh Krishna in the second session on day three, but not before putting England quite close to reaching parity on first innings.
