In the third session on day four of the third Test in the five-match series, Jasprit Bumrah, the Indian fast bowler, cleaned up Brydon Carse and Chris Woakes in quick succession, to put India firmly on top against England at Lord’s in London. After being quite unlucky in the first two sessions of play with the ball despite bowling exceedingly well, not being able to take a wicket, Jasprit Bumrah returned with a vengeance in his newest spell in the third session of play.
Firstly, Jasprit Bumrah bowled a sensational yorker on the popping crease, beating right-handed batter Brydon Carse all ends up to uproot his leg stump, and it was his first wicket of the day in England’s second innings. In his next over, Jasprit Bumrah felt something in his right calf after bowling a delivery before calling for the physio, who gave him a magic spray before putting a bandage on the problematic part of the body.
Jasprit Bumrah decided to carry on bowling, and on the very next delivery, which was a booming inswinger from him, Chris Woakes was beaten all ends up before his stumps were shattered. It showed the resilience of the star Indian pacer in the midst of adversity, finding a way to deliver the goods for his team just when they needed it the most.
