On Saturday, July 12, Iga Swiatek, the Polish tennis player, the number eight seed, won her maiden Wimbledon title after destroying the challenge of 13th seed Amanda Anisimova with double bagel scoreline of 6-0, 6-0 at the Centre Court in SW19, London. The 24-year-old, who had never reached the final of the Wimbledon until this year, clinched her sixth Grand Slam title on the hallowed grass court, adding to her four French Open titles on clay and one US Open title on hard courts.
Iga Swiatek dominated Amanda Anisimova from start to finish in the Wimbledon 2025 women’s singles final, winning it just within one hour of play after it began on a hot and warm afternoon in SW19, London. With that, she became the first women’s player in the open era to win a Grand Slam women’s singles final with a 6-0, 6-0 scoreline, making history in the process in more ways than one.

Iga Swiatek has never lost a Grand Slam final in her young career
In the Wimbledon 2025 women’s singles final, Iga Swiatek managed to win 55 points to just 24 points from Amanda Anisimova across both the sets. Swiatek managed to convert six out of nine break point opportunities, which her opponent didn’t manage to create, and apart from that, the Polish tennis player also had 78% serve to just 45% from Anisimova, showcasing how the American froze under pressure on the grand stage.
During her illustrious career, which still has a long way to go, Iga Swiatek has never lost a Grand Slam final thus far, winning it six out of six times. Now, the only Grand Slam title which hasn’t been won by her is the Australian Open, but she is expected to break the jinx just like she managed to do the same at Wimbledon in style today against a hapless opponent, who is just a year younger than her.
