With the County Championship underway in England, Surrey have recently roped in the services of Gujarat Titans (GT) bowler, Ravisrinivasan Sai Kishore. The left-arm spinner, who recently led his Tamil Nadu Premier League (TNPL) side, IDream Tiruppur Tamizhans to their maiden title, beating R Ashwin’s Dindigul Dragons by 118 runs in the summit clash, will be seen donning new colours soon.

The left-arm spinner will be seen donning the Surrey kit for only two first-class games towards the end of July. He is set to be part of the side in the game against Yorkshire in Scarbough, where he will be up against his former Chennai Super Kings (CSK) teammate Ruturaj Gaikwad. Sai Kishore will conclude his short stint with a game against Durham in Chester-le Street, set to be played from July 29 till August 1.

Excited to join Surrey for County Championship: Sai Kishore

After being roped in for a short-stint, the Tamil Nadu spinner expressed excitement for his County debut. "I'm really excited to be joining Surrey for the next two County Championship matches. Surrey are one of the most prestigious clubs in the world and I have heard great things about the setup from lots of different people in the game," Kishore said, as quoted by ESPNcricinfo.

Surrey’s high-performance advisor, Alec Stewart also welcomed the Indian spinner, stating, "I'm delighted to bring the highly rated Sai Kishore into our squad for the next two Kookaburra games. All the reports I have received from people I respect in the Indian game have spoken highly of him. His four-day record for Tamil Nadu is very good and he brings leadership experience to the group."

It is to be noted that Kishore boasts of great first-class numbers, having picked 192 wickets in 46 matches at an average of 23.51. He was the second highest wicket-taker for GT in IPL 2025 after Prasidh Krishna, scalping 19 wickets in 15 matches.
