On Tuesday, July 8, the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) announced the women’s squad for the upcoming ODI series against India Women. England Cricket announced 15-member squad for the three-match series, which will commence from Wednesday, July 16 in Southampton.

It is to be noted that India Women is currently locking horns with England Women in limited-overs series, consisting of five T20Is and three ODIs. However, the visitors lead the series 2-1 with two more T20Is left to be played. While the fourth T20I is set to be played on July 9, the final match is scheduled for July 12.

Sophie Ecclestone and Maia Bouchier return as England announce 15-member squad for ODI series

After the conclusion of the T20I, the action will shift towards the 50-over format. Days prior to the three-match series, England have confirmed the return of Lancashire spinner Sophie Ecclestone and Maia Bounchier. It is to be noted that Ecclestone marks her comeback after missing the West Indies series, Hampshire’s Bounchier also returns.

Moreover, England Women captain, Nat Sciver-Brunt, who has been ruled out of the T20I series after sustaining an injury, is set to return for the 50-over format. On the other hand, Lauren Filer will also be looking to make her first ODI appearance since Ashes.
