The UFC is gearing up to script history as it is highly likely to host an event on the White House South Lawn. As per a spokesperson for the promotion, plans are on its way for a 2026 UFC fight at the White House as the United States will celebrate its 250th birthday then. Earlier, Trump, while delivering a speech in Iowa a day before the 249th Independence Day, revealed his intentions to organise a UFC fight at the White House. “We’re going to have a UFC fight on the grounds of the White House… I think we’ll get 20,000 to 25,000 people,” said Trump.

The event hasn’t been yet confirmed on the UFC calendar but several eminent media houses have reported that internal planning has already begun. Reports also state that one title fight would be conducted at the venue. Trump’s equation with UFC President Dana White, who has been the veteran leader’s supporter, is seen as a crucial figure for the project. White shared a stage with Trump during the latter’s 2024 victory speech and there have been several instances when both allied with each other for initial UFC events at the 79-year-old’s casinos.

Donald Trump’s fondness for combat sports

Donald Trump’s fondness for combat sports isn’t hidden. There are numerous occasions to recount when the US President was seen relishing the games. In the 1980s and 1990s, he hosted several major boxing events at his Atlantic City hotels.

Recently, he became a regular at UFC events after appearing in the Madison Square Garden at UFC 295. He was accompanied by Elon Musk and House Speaker Mike Johnson. If Trump succeeds in organising the event, a groundbreaking blend of politics, sports, and entertainment will be witnessed.
