Although the two cricketers, who will only be seen donning the Indian jersey in the 50-over format, were set to return to action in the Bangladesh ODI series, but with the series in jeopardy at the moment, they will continue to sit out for an elongated period. But amid this, several reports have claimed that Team India’s skipper in ODIs, Rohit Sharma will resume practice from next week onwards.
If reports are to be believed, the 38-year-old will resuming training with the Mumbai team from next week. However, a certainty on the return of Rohit Sharma on the field currently stands still with the Bangladesh series looking uncertain, according to the Future Tours Programme (FTP), India is set to travel to Australia in October-November 2025 for a white-ball series. With this, we might see Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma back in action, followed by the South Africa series.
