The English club Burnley have recently been promoted to the Premier League after finishing second in the Championship. They are ready to put up a fight in the Premier League under their manager Scott Parker, a former Tottenham player, who took charge of the club in July 2024. He was appointed as the manager following the departure of Vincent Kompany, who decided to start a new chapter with the Bundesliga champions FC Bayern. Burnley had already made some crucial signings for the Premier league and now have managed to complete another crucial signing for the club.

Kyle Walker, the English international, has signed a two-year contract with Burnley and this signing became made official with an announcement on their social media handles. The 35-year-old is ready for a new challenge in the Premier League under Scott Parker who were fellow teammates at Tottenham Hotspur. Walker will bring a lot of experience & leadership to the team in order to perform at the best of their abilities. The transfer fee has been reported as £5 million with additional add-ons included, as per Fabrizio Romano. The right-back is considered to be a huge part of Parker’s project.

Burnley project was an opportunity I jumped at: Kyle Walker

Kyle Walker was a part of Manchester City for eight years and has won several major trophies under Pep Guardiola. He was sent on loan to AC Milan in the January transfer window last campaign. Despite having a good start in Italy, injuries declined his progress at the club, including an elbow fracture in the middle of the season. Milan opted not to extend the loan with Walker and decided to end his spell with the club. Walker then returned to City, but he was not registered as part of the Manchester City squad for the FIFA Club World Cup 2025.

Walker spoke to the Burnley manager recently, and when he heard about the ambitions and the project at the club, he decided to grab that opportunity with both hands and was excited to become a part of Burnley. Walker said about Parker, "He's done an amazing job here, guiding the club back to the Premier League with a 100-point haul, and now we're looking forward, together, at being back in the greatest league in the world at the best level".
