South African batter David Miller is celebrating his 36th birthday on June 10, 2025. He has been one of the top performers for the Proteas in big ICC events and turned out to be a lone warrior on several occasions. In his 15-year cricketing career so far, Miller has made and broken several records and has been a key player for South Africa over the years. Since his debut in 2010, Miller has played 178 ODIs and 130 T20Is in his international career so far amassing 7202 runs across both formats combined along with nine hundreds and 32 half-centuries so far.
David Miller has been a top performer for South Africa in several knockout matches in major ICC events. He scored a quickfire 49(18) runs in the semi-final of the 2015 ODI World Cup along with the half-centuries by Faf du Plessis and AB de Villiers. However, the Proteas ended up on the losing side in that edition. He also scored century in the semi-final of the 2023 ODI World Cup and the 2025 Champions Trophy respectively but couldn’t take his team down the line.

5th Fastest 100 in T20Is: David Miller has a record for smashing the fifth fastest hundred in the T20I format and the fastest by the Proteas batter. He also remained number one in this list for a long time. The right-hander smashed a hundred off just 35 balls in a match against Bangladesh in Potchefstroom on October 29, 2017.
Most catches on T20I career: Along with his batting, David Miller is also a great fielder and has also among the safest hands on the field. He has also taken most catches by any player in a T20I career, taking 82 catches from 130 matches so far.
Most runs in an T20I innings batting at fifth position: David Miller has a record of smashing most runs in an T20I innings while batting at number five in the order. Coming to bat at three-down, Miller smashed 106(47) runs in a losing cause against India in Guwahati on October 2, 2022.
