Prithvi Shaw has attracted a lot of eyeballs after his latest interview with News 24. The youngster has gone through a tough phase of his career. Shaw, who was once touted as a future superstar for Team India, went unsold in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 auction held in Jeddah. After a month, he was also dropped from Mumbai’s Ranji Trophy 2024-25 side due to his fitness issues. It was a major jolt for him. Recently, he represented North Mumbai Panthers (NMP) in the Mumbai T20 League 2025 and emerged as the highest run-scorer for his team with 137 runs in five games.
Shaw, during a conversation with News 24, admitted that he made some blunders which impacted his career negatively. “I have taken a lot of wrong decisions in life. I started giving less time to cricket. I used to practice a lot. For example, I used to bat for 3-4 hours in nets. I never got tired of batting. I used to go to the ground for half a day. I admit that there was a distraction. After that, I started considering what was not necessary as necessary. I made some wrong friends. Because I was at the top at that time. Friendship is also formed,” remarked Prithvi.
