With the ongoing Test match between England and India hanging well in balance for all results possible, both teams are struggling with a couple of injuries. While Rishabh Pant has been struggling with a finger injury, which he sustained on the opening day of the Lord’s Test, Zak Crawley has got hit on his hand as the end of day’s play neared.
Furthermore, during the third day of the ongoing Test, the lone spinner in the England lineup, Shoaib Bashir was also seen struggling with an injury. The England spinner who gave a much-needed breakthrough, picking KL Rahul’s wicket soon after lunch, got hit on his left hand as he tried to create a caught and bowled chance.

As he immediately called for help, he was forced to walk off the field with Joe Root completing his over. Seeing him not take the field thereafter, there were questions on his fitness. But minutes prior to Day 4’s play, England Cricket confirmed that a decision on him to bat will be made in due course.
“A decision on whether he will bat in the second innings will be made in due course,” England Cricket said in a statement prior Day 4’s play. Meanwhile, they offered a good news for the English fans as they confirmed that he “is exxpected to bowl in the (India second) innings of this Test.”
