Team India is currently locking horns with England in the second Test of the five-match series of the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy 2025 at Edgbaston, Birmingham. While the Men in Blue are coming after a five-wicket defeat against England in the opening Test, they will be hoping to get a win in Birmingham to level the series before moving to London for the third Test, which will be played from July 10 to 14 at Lord’s.

After being put to bat first, Team India posted 587 runs, courtesy a double century from Shubman Gill. Thereafter, Mohammed Siraj starred with the ball, picking a six-wicket haul, along with a four-fer from Akash Deep and restricted the hosts to 407. Taking a considerable 180-run lead, the Men in Blue added 64 more runs at stumps on day three to extend their lead to 244.

KL Rahul eyes to extend lead post 350 on Day 4 of second Test

With KL Rahul and Karun Nair starting the fourth day of the ongoing Test in Birmingham, the latter fell in the first hour after scoring 26 runs off 46 balls. With Stokes reintroducing Brydon Carse into the attack, on the final delivery of the 21st over, the England pacer bowled a full delivery just outside off. Nair got the thick outside edge and wicketkeeper-batter Jamie Smith completed a fine catch behind the stumps.

The number three batter departed cheaply once again and in this moment, he got the heat from the fans, who slammed the cricketer who made his return in India whites after seven-long years. While some fans wrote to not give any more chances to the India batter after consistent failures, some called him for wasting the opportunities.
