With the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 just over eight months away, Canada have officially booked their spot in the 20-team tournament after confirming a top-of-the-table finish in the Americas Regional Qualifying Finals. After defeating Bahamas by seven wickets at the Maple Leaf Cricket Ground in King City - located close to Toronto - Canada registered their fifth straight win in the Americas Regional Qualifying Finals, to make the T20 World Cup next year with a game in hand.
It is important to note that Americas Regional Qualifying Finals has a total of four teams, including Canada, Bahamas, Bermuda, and Cayman Islands from the North America continent. In their first five matches of the qualifying tournament, Canada have been incredibly dominating, collecting big wins over the other three teams, to not give them any chance at potentially making the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026.
