There appears to be a lot of uncertainty in the camp of Liverpool over the transfers of several of their title winners. Reports claim that Ibrahima Konate could move on before the end of the transfer window unless he agrees to a new deal on Liverpool’s terms. Further there is possibility for Harvey Elliot and Tyler Morton, reportedly West Ham is keen on the pair. But perhaps the latest string of doubts surround the transfer story of Luis Diaz. Ever since the players returned for the pre-season training, more and more speculations are appearing linking Diaz’s exit.
In a report by Bild, German club Bayern Munich have made an initial offer to Liverpool for the 28-year-old Colombian winger worth a reported €52m. The amount is significantly below the €80m valuation of the Premier League champion. Bayern Munich have lost Jamal Musiala to a terrible leg injury and Leroy Sane moved to Galatasaray. Reportedly in addition to Bayern Munich, Barcelona have also shown interest in signing Diaz following their failed pursuit of Nico Williams, who signed a contract extension at Athletic Club.
Diaz has informed Bayern that he will leave Liverpool under right conditions: Reports
In a latest report by Sky Sports, Luis Diaz has informed Bayern Munich that he is willing to leave Liverpool under the right conditions. The post on social media platform X Sky Sport journalist Florian Plettenberg says, “Understand Luis Daiz has once again made it clear that he is open to leaving Liverpool if a really exciting offer arrives, LFC have been informed. However, they have blocked everything so far.” (FC Bayern, Barcelona, etc.) The post further says, “Max Eberl has held new talks with Diaz’s management in recent days. As reported, Bayern remain keen on Diaz. There are still no agreements or offers. It is complicated, but Bayern are trying.”
This seems much more likely to be a starting point in negotiations, rather than a bid that is accepted, given the roughly €30m difference between the two. Report says that Liverpool must also consider that Diaz has two years left on his deal though, and has shown no sign of signing any of the deals they have offered. At the age of 28, if Liverpool cannot extend his contract, there will be pressure to sell Diaz.
