With Australia currently touring West Indies for a multi-format series, including Tests and T20Is, Cricket Australia (CA) on Saturday, July 12 confirmed changes to their T20I squad. It is to be noted that with Australia sealing the three-match Test series by 2-0 margin, they will next lock horns with the Windies side in a five-match T20I series starting from Sunday, July 20.
Just days prior to the T20I leg, CA have made a couple of changes to their side which includes Josh Hazlewood missing the limited-overs leg due to workload management. The cricket board aims to keep him fit for the white-ball series against South Africa next month. Hazlewood will reportedly lead the charge in absence of Pat Cummins, who hinted on missing the home series.

As Hazlewood is set to depart from West Indies after the conclusion of the Test campaign, CA has added opening batter, Jake Fraser-McGurk and Xavier Bartlett. It is to be noted that both Aussie players impressed in the domestic season as well as the franchise leagues.
The two players were recently seen in action for the San Francisco Unicorns in Major Cricket League (MLC) and will hope to put up a show after last featuring in the national colours in November 2024. Speaking of the upcoming T20I series, the first and second match is set to be held on July 20 and July 22 respectively at the Sabina Park in Kingston. The action will then shift to St Kitts, where the last three T20I will be played on July 25, 26 and 28 respectively at the Warner Park in Basseterre.
