In match number 65 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025, Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) are taking on Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow on Friday, May 23. However, both teams are coming off similar results, the Bengaluru-based franchise will be hoping for a win to finish in the top two.

As the two captains walked out for toss, it was Jitesh Sharma, who was seen leading the side, in absence of Rajat Patidar. The stand-in captain, Jitesh Sharma, won the toss and elected to bowl first. “It's my first time captaining RCB. I captained PBKS against SRH last year. We are thinking to bowl first, want to take most of the surface from the moisture. We are looking forward to finish the league on top of the table and enter the playoffs,” he said.

When inquired of the team combination, Jitesh Sharma confirmed that there are two changes. Patidar, who has been nursing a finger injury, has been named in the impact player list. Moreover, they have named Mayank Agarwal in place of Devdutt Padikkal, who was ruled out of the season.

On the other hand, SRH also named a few changes in their XI as Travis Head returns after missing the last game due to delayed recovery from COVID-19. “We have three changes. Travis Head is back, Abhinav Manohar and Unadkat are back as well..,” Pat Cummins said at the toss.
