The Indian Premier League (IPL) is known for providing a stage to youngsters. In its 18 years, it delivered some magnificent talents to world cricket. This year wasn’t an exception as several young sensations from different parts of the world showed up in the season but some displayed their belligerent sides and became the centre of attention. Eyes were set on some youngsters from the start of the competition as they did exceptional jobs for their teams in the previous seasons of the cash-rich league. Chennai Super Kings’ (CSK) Matheesha Pathirana, Noor Ahmad, Punjab Kings’ (PBKS) Nehal Wadhera, and Lucknow Super Giants’ (LSG) Mayank Yadav were expected to be at their best in the season but this time, only the Afghanistan spinner Noor Ahmad succeeded in delivering impressive performances.

A few youngsters, who made their debut appearances this season, also proved themselves in the distinguished T20 tournament for the first time and received appreciation for their efforts. PBKS’ Priyansh Arya, Rajasthan Royals’ (RR) Vaibhav Suryavanshi, CSK’s Ayush Mhatre, LSG’s Digvesh Singh, and Delhi Capitals' (DC) Vipraj Nigam were some players who took advantage of the opportunities they got from their teams and etched their names on the list of players who were extraordinary in IPL 2025. Dewald Brevis, who came mid season, also gained attention for some of his solid batting shows for Chennai.

However, in the end, Orange Cap winner Sai Sudharsan was the one who got success in impressing fans with his breathtaking batting performance for Gujarat Titans (GT) and became the emerging player of the season in the competition. As an opener, he performed efficiently for Titans and made the season best of his IPL career. The southpaw smashed 759 runs with a hundred and six fifties in 15 games at a strike rate of 156.17.

He became the viewers’ favourite by 35% votes. His dominance was such among IPL supporters that no other youngster could come close to him. Royal Challengers Bengaluru’s Suyash Sharma (10%), RR’s Suryavanshi (9%), and CSK’s Noor (8%) stood in the second, third, and fourth spot respectively but they were far away from Sudharsan in terms of delivering competition.
