The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 concluded with Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) lifting the distinguished trophy under Rajat Patidar’s captaincy after beating Punjab Kings (PBKS) by six runs. In the 74-day long T20 extravaganza, cricket supporters got to witness some majestic batting and bowling performances. Sai Sudharsan, who notched up 759 runs in 15 matches at a strike rate of 156.17, became the recipient of the Orange Cap. Another GT player Prasidh Krishna won the Purple Cap for his bowling brilliance in the tournament. The pacer claimed 25 wickets in 15 contests.
Although RCB emerged as champions in the tournament, most illustrious awards went to Gujarat. The Shubman Gill-led side looked dominant in the initial stage of the competition and their players enjoyed the perks at the end of the competition by winning top prizes. Besides Orange Cap and Purple Cap, Most Green Dot Balls Award also went to GT as their premier pacer Mohammed Siraj became the recipient of it with 151 dot balls in 15 games. Following Siraj, his teammate Prasidh Krishna stood in second place with 146 dot deliveries in 15 innings.
Punjab Kings (PBKS), who concluded their campaign as runners-up, also have Arshdeep Singh on the chart of bowlers with Most Green Dot Balls Award. The speedster bowled 137 balls in 17 matches. RCB’s Bhuvenshwar Kumar and Josh Hazlewood also marked their presence on the list with 123 and 120 deliveries respectively.
