In the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025, batters displayed their dominance with their hard-hitting potential and delivered explosive action to the league's supporters. Before the tournament, veterans such as Suryakumar Yadav, Jos Buttler, Mitchell Marsh, Heinrich Klaasen, Nicholas Pooran, and Travis Head were expected to turn up against bowlers and become the owner of scintillating feats linked to batting. However, these eminent figures played with aggressive approach but couldn’t end up becoming the player with most fours or sixes in IPL 2025. Talking about youngsters, top-order batters Abhishek Sharma, Yashasvi Jaiswal, and Priyansh Arya did phenomenal jobs and accumulated a huge chunk of runs through fours but couldn't win the illustrious awards related to boundary scoring.
However, among these young sensations, Gujarat Titans (GT) opener Sai Sudharsan stepped up and emerged as the winner of the prestigious award. The southpaw racked up 109 boundaries in the tournament which also included 88 fours. In the T20 extravaganza played for more than two months, he showcased his potential and amassed 759 runs in 15 games at a strike rate of 156.17. With these numbers, he also became the Orange Cap winner.
Against Delhi Capitals (DC) at the Arun Jaitley Stadium on May 18, he produced his best knock of the season and guided his team to a convincing 10-wicket win. He played an unbeaten 108-run innings off 61 balls with the help of 16 boundaries. During his magnificent innings, he also struck 12 fours.
Sudharsan emerged as the player with most fours in IPL 2025 while following him, Mumbai Indians (MI) Suryakumar Yadav got the second spot with 69 fours. Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) veteran Virat Kohli, GT skipper Shubman Gill, and Rajasthan Royals (RR) Yashasvi Jaiswal notched up 66, 62, and 60 fours respectively. Among foreign players, Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) Mitchell Marsh got the top spot with 56 fours.
