The much-anticipated Qualifier 1 of IPL 2025 between Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and Punjab Kings (PBKS) is currently underway at the Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium in Mullanpur. This knockout clash is crucial as the winner earns a direct spot in the IPL 2025 Final. RCB captain Rajat Patidar won the toss and opted to bowl first, a decision which seems to have worked brilliantly for RCB with the ball, putting the team in a great position.
During a disastrous batting collapse for PBKS, young spinner Suyash Sharma joined the party by dismissing Shashank Singh and performing a fiery celebration. Sharma came into the bowling attack in the 9th over and bowled his first delivery to Marcus Stoinis, who calmly flicked it away for a single. Shashank Singh, who came on strike for the next ball, tried to sweep the youngster’s next ball and got cleaned up completely. What followed was a fiery celebration from the 22-year-old spinner by apparently pointing towards the crowd. Sharma doubled his heroics by also dismissing Impact sub Musheer Khan for a lbw on his 5th delivery.
