Nicholas Pooran couldn’t control his anger after his run-out during Lucknow Super Giants' clash against Sunrisers Hyderabad in match number 61 of IPL 2025 at Ekana Cricket Stadium on May 19. Batting at 45(26) runs, Pooran lost his wicket to a terrible run out in the last over of LSG’s innings.
After his dismissal, Nicholas Pooran was seen fuming in the dressing room as he threw away his pads straight into the glass shield in anger. LSG skipper RIshabh Pant was also observing Pooran’s reaction from behind in the dressing room. Eventually, LSG ended up losing the match by six wickets and are eliminated from the playoffs race in IPL 2025.

LSG skipper Rishabh Pant shared his thoughts after his team’s exit from IPL 2025 following loss against SRH. The wicketkeeper batter said that their campaign has been affected due to injuries and the franchise couldn't fill those gaps. LSG are currently at the seventh spot in the points table with five wins and seven losses with one game to go.
“Definitely it could have been one of our best seasons but coming into the tournament we had a lot of gaps, injuries and as a team we decided to not talk about that, but it became difficult to fill those gaps for us. The way we planned the auction, if we would have had the same bowling.. but this is cricket, sometimes things go your way and sometimes they don't, we take pride in the way we played and take the positives from the season than the negative side,” Pant said at the post-match presentation.
