In Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 Qualifier 2, the Punjab Kings (PBKS) are taking on Mumbai Indians (MI) at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Sunday, June 1. While the Shreyas Iyer-led side will be hoping to get into the final after earlier losing the direct berth, going down against Royals Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), MI too have their eyes set on record sixth title.

After PBKS skipper, Shreyas Iyer won the toss and elected to bowl first, the game saw a delayed start with passing showers posing a threat to the do-or-die fixture. But after a little over two hours’ delay, the match resumed and the Hardik Pandya-led MI put up a commendable total of 203 on the board in their stipulated 20 overs.

Josh Inglis smashes 20 runs off Jasprit Bumrah’s over as PBKS look to chase 204

With Hardik Pandya introducing Bumrah into the attack in the fifth over, he conceded 20 runs, which left everyone in shock. Bumrah, who is known for his excellent line and length along with his economical spells, got hit for 20 runs. Inglis, who was on strike, smashed a boundary on the very first delivery, and followed by a maximum which came on the third ball of the over.

There was no stopping for the Australian batter as he once again went for a four and a maximum to get 20 runs from the over and reach to 29* runs off just 12 deliveries after five overs. Moreover, this also became the most expensive over bowled by Bumrah in IPL 2025 with his previous being against Delhi Capitals (DC).

Speaking of the match, at the time of writing, PBKS scored 82/3 after 7.5 overs with the top three of Priyansh Arya, Prabhsimran Singh and Josh Inglis departing having scored 20, 6 and 38 runs respectively.
