Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) will be playing in the final of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 season against Punjab Kings (PBKS) at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Tuesday, June 3. With a gap of four days between the IPL 2025 Qualifier 1 victory to the impending final, the RCB players got the chance to celebrate the birthday of captain Rajat Patidar and mentor Dinesh Karthik in style at the team hotel on Sunday, June 1.

The video of the grand celebration was shared on the social media platform X by RCB, wherein the birthday boys Rajat Patidar and Dinesh Karthik were spotted cutting cakes in the initial stages to the wishes and applause from the teammates and support staff. But suddenly, the situation in the team hotel turned chaotic when Jitesh Sharma, who is the vice-captain of RCB, started smashing cake into the faces of anyone and everyone, starting with Patidar and Karthik themselves.

Watch the video here:

Virat Kohli also joined in the fun by smashing cake on the face of RCB analyst Freddie Wilde, while on the other side, Jitesh Sharma wasn’t spared either, getting his face covered in cake. Towards the latter stages of the video, when Liam Livingstone urged Jitesh Sharma to smash the cake into the face of Virat Kohli, the wicketkeeper-batter hilariously folded his hands in front of them before looking up in the air, to decline the offer with a shy smile on his face.

RCB defeated PBKS in IPL 2025 Qualifier 1 in Mullanpur last week

While there was a party atmosphere at RCB team hotel last night, the players and support staff will be turning their attention to serious business of playing the IPL 2025 a day from now against PBKS. At the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, everything will be at stake for both RCB and PBKS in their pursuit of the ultimate glory, winning the IPL title for the first-time in their history.

With RCB demolishing PBKS by eight wickets with ten overs to spare in a 102-run chase in the IPL 2025 Qualifier 1 at the Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium in Mullanpur a couple of days ago, the early advantage going into the final is with them.
