His charisma on the field and his personality off the field is something which the fans always admire about him. Kohli’s sudden retirement from Test cricket left the fans in shock and disbelief. The fans always keep thinking if there is someone who would live up to the legacy of Virat Kohli. under his captaincy, Test cricket reached new heights, most famously winning the Test series in Australia twice in a row. He announced his retirement just before the start of the Test series against England this year which was a sour pill to swallow for everyone as he still is one of the fittest cricketers in the Indian cricket team at 36 years of age.
Virat Kohli recently attended a fundraiser event organised by Yuvraj Singh. In this event he opened up for the first time about his decision to retire from the longest format of the game. While the interviewer was expressing the feelings of many fans and thanked Virat Kohli for his contribution to the Indian cricket team in Test cricket, Virat Kohli stated that “I just coloured my beard two days ago. You know it’s time when you are colouring your beard every four days,” in a humorous tone with a smile on his face.

Virat Kohli expressed his gratitude to Yuvraj Singh during the fundraiser event
While Virat Kohli spoke about how his Test career come to an end just a couple of months ago, he also expressed his gratitute for Yuvraj Singh during the fundrasier event. The former Indian captain stated that he would not go for any such events and has only come to the event due to his love and admiration for Yuvraj Singh.
He also recalled Yuvraj Singh’s health battles and said, “His comeback after cancer was incredible. I was captain when he returned and played an amazing knock against England in Cuttack - 150, I think. I told someone that day that this feels like watching cricket in our childhood again.”
