New Zealand star batter Kane Williamson has revealed his next Fab 4. The Kiwi stalwart is a member of the current Fab 4 group, which includes star players such as Virat Kohli, Steven Smith, and Joe Root. With these four players aging at a rapid pace, cricket fans often discuss who will replace them in the Fab 4 category. Kohli has retired from Tests and T20 Internationals (T20I) while Steven Smith also bid adieu to One-Day Internationals (ODI) in March this year. Amidst these developments, Kane Williamson has given five names who are favourites to join the elite four-member group in the future.

Speaking to ESPNcricinfo, he named Shubman Gill, Yashasvi Jaiswal, England's Harry Brook, Australia's Cameron Green, and the Kiwi all-rounder Rachin Ravindra to form the next Fab 4. "The players that come to mind in terms of multi-format are: Yashasvi Jaiswal, Shubman Gill, Rachin Ravindra, Harry Brook, and also Cameron Green. Those are all outstanding players and have shown fantastic moments in all formats. All young and their games are just growing," remarked Williamson.

Eyes will be set on Yashasvi Jaiswal and Shubman Gill

In the upcoming five-match Test series between India and England, eyes will be set on young guns Yashasvi Jaiswal and Shubman Gill. Jaiswal will be seen in action in England for the first time. The opener exhibited his potential in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25 held Down Under, where he emerged as the second-highest run-getter.

The southpaw scored 391 runs in 10 innings of five matches in the Australian conditions. Shubman Gill, who will be handling India’s captaincy mantle, will have to be at his best as a batter as well. Gill’s record hasn’t been decent in England. Appearing in three Tests in England, he has scored only 88 runs in six innings.
