Jasprit Bumrah’s wife and sports presenter Sanjana Ganeshan came up with an special message for the star Indian pacer given by Cheteshwar Pujara and former cricketer Sunil Gavaskar. Bumrah shone with a five-wicket haul on day three as India took a small lead of six runs in the first innings in first Test against at Headingley, Leeds. The right–arm fast bowler registered figures of 5/83 as England were bowled out for 465 runs in India’s total of 471 runs.
Although, Bumrah has been a spearhead of India’s fast bowling line up but is he will only three out of the ongoing five–match Test series in England due to his workload management. However, Gavaskar and Pujara want Bumrah to play all five Test matches, and requested Sanjana to send their message to star pacer.
"I have a request for you tomorrow. You will have to convince Jasprit to play a few more games. Just just try it," Pujara said to Sanjana while speaking on Sony Sports. After that, Gavaskar said, “Tell him, 'Look, there's an eight-day gap'. So the next Test is not a problem. And then after that, he can't miss Lord’s. Then again, there's an eight-day gap.”

Coming with a message from Sunil Gavaskar and Cheteshwar Pujara, Sanjana Ganesan went on the field after the end of day three and requested Jasprit Bumrah to play all five Test matches in the ongoing Test series. "There is a request that has come from upstairs from Cheteshwar Pujara and Sunil Gavaskar. Don't shoot the messenger, I'm just telling you, quote 'Jasprit please play all five, please please,” Sanjana said to Bumrah.
To this Bumrah replied with “That is a conversation we will have on another day."
Bumrah didn’t give any confirmation whether he will play all five Test matches or not. However, Gavaskar feels that Bumrah can easily manage his workload as there is eight-day gap between most of the Test matches.
