Heinrich Klaasen turned out to be match-winner as Sunrisers Hyderabad ended their IPL 2025 campaign with a big win over Kolkata Knight Riders at Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. Klaasen smashed a 37-ball hundred as SRH posted a mammoth 278/3 in their 20 overs. With this, the previous year’s runners-up also registered the third highest IPL total with the top four belonging to them. In reply, KKR were bowled out for 168 runs in 18.4 overs.

Coming to bat first after winning the toss, SRH got a flying start as Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma put up an opening partnership of 92 runs in just 6.5 overs. Abhishek got out after scoring 32(16) runs hitting four fours and two sixes, while Head scored 76 runs off 40 balls hitting six fours and as many sixes.

After that, Heinrich Klaasen took charge of the innings and was all over the KKR bowlers throughout the innings. He added 83 runs with Ishan Kishan for the third wicket who scored 29 runs off 20 balls. After that, Klaasen went on to complete the second hundred of his IPL career in just 37 balls. The wicketkeeper batter smashed an unbeaten 105* runs off just 39 balls seven four and nine sixes. Aniket Verma also gave finishing touches with 12*(6) as SRH crossed the 270-run mark. For KKR, Sunil Narine took two wickets while Vaibhab Arora put one in his bag.

Chasing the winning target, KKR kept losing wickets at regular intervals and were far away from SRH’s mammoth total. Manish Pandey was top scorer with 37 runs off 23 balls hitting two fours and three sixes. Apart from that, Sunil Narine also scored 31(16) runs while Harshit Rana also contributed with 34(21) runs. However, none of the other batter could stay at the crease for long as KKR were bowled out with eight balls remaining.
