On Saturday, July 5, tennis great Novak Djokovic continued his stellar show at the All England Club as he went past his compatriot Miomir Kecmanovic in the round of 32. The Serbian with his 6-3, 6-0, 6-4 win, also etched his name in history books as he became only the third player to record 100 wins at Wimbledon, joining the likes of Martina Navratilova and Roger Federer.
The 38-year-old and Olympic tennis champion also became only the second player after Federer to record 100 wins at two Grand Slams after his first came in French Open. Federer, who has now retired from the sport, got 100-plus wins in Wimbledon as well as at the Australian Open.

However, the Serb reined the court at Wimbledon 2025 on Saturday, his seven-year-old daughter, Tara stole the spotlight with her courtside dance. After the 24-time Grand Slam champion’s win, Djokovic was asjed about his familiar “Pump it up” celebration. The Serb with a smile responded, “There’s a song with my kids - look, my daughter’s doing it right now. You want to show it darling?”
As the cameras panned towards Tara, she beautifully demonstrated the move, pumping her fists downward, then to the sides and finally overhead. Her sporty gesture melted hearts of many as the crowd erupted in loud cheers for the young girl.
Notably, with Novak Djokovic cruising closer to his record 25 th Grand Slam title, he will next face Australia’s Alex de Minaur in round of 16 on Monday, July 7 from 3:30 pm (IST) onwards. The two were last scheduled to meet in SW19 in 2024, but the AUstralian withdrew ahead of the final eight.
