After qualifying for the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 playoffs, Punjab Kings (PBKS) have delivered another positive news to their fans as their star overseas players Marcus Stoinis, Josh Inglis, and Kyle Jamieson have rejoined the squad. Punjab, who have crossed the league round for the first time after 11 years, will take on Delhi Capitals (DC) and Mumbai Indians (MI) in their remaining league round games. After making it to the playoffs, PBKS will try to end their round-robin campaign at the top two of the points table. Currently, Shreyas Iyer’s team is placed in the third place on the points tally, with 17 points earned through eight wins and a no-result game.

PBKS will require the essential services of their foreign players Stoinis, Inglis and Jamieson to secure one of the top spots on the table. These three players will be available for selection in the next game against DC to be played at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium on May 24. Jamieson has replaced his compatriot Lockie Ferguson, who got ruled out of the tournament due to a hamstring injury.

Marcus Stoinis will look to be among runs before IPL 2025 playoffs

Marcus Stoinis hasn’t delivered anything solid from his bat in the competition. He has scored 82 runs in eight matches at an average of 202.50. The Aussie has made a comeback in the PBKS set up after seven years. Discussing Josh Inglis’ batting numbers, he has accumulated 92 runs in six matches.

Kyle Jamieson, who last played IPL in 2021, will also look to prove himself with the ball to make his comeback in the cash-rich league notable. DC, who got ruled out of the playoffs race after losing to Mumbai Indians (MI) at the Wankhede Stadium on May 21, will look to spoil Punjab’s plan to gain the top position. Shreyas and his team will have to be wary of Capitals.
