Denzel Dumfries had signed a contract with Inter Milan last year, which goes up to the year 2028. However, there is a release clause of €25m in his contract which can be activated by clubs in order to sign Dumfries. There are high chances of the 29-year-old leaving the San Siro this year as the release clause in the contract is relatively low, especially with the reported interest shown by FC Barcelona, as per Italian sports journalist Fabrizio Romano.
“Barcelona have been showing interest in the recent months but no formal approach or proposal has been sent yet,” read a post from Fabrizio Romano on his official X account. Barcelona will be looking to strengthen their lineup by signing the right players and one of which could be Denzel Dumfries from Inter Milan as they would be eyeing for a right-back who fits into their game plan ahead of the upcoming season.
