In response to India’s 587 all out, England started their first innings poorly, losing the centurion from the previous Test, Ben Duckett, who didn’t trouble the scorers before getting dismissed by Akash Deep before Ollie Pope was back in the pavilion on the very next ball. England found themselves 25/3 in the eighth over after Mohammed Siraj took the key wicket of Zak Crawley for 19 off 30.
