Star Indian all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja was engaged in a hilarious banter with English pacer Chris Woakes during day two of the ongoing Test between England and India at Edgbaston, Birmingham. During his 89-run knock, Jadeja went on to run on some part of the pitch after which Woakes raised a question. However, it went on to become the hilarious conversation between the two players.
In a video posted by Star Sports on their social media, Ravindra Jadeja was quoted saying to Chris Woakes, “I was coming from here” to which Woakes replied with “Look what you’ve done mate.” After that, Jadeja came up with a hilarious reply as he said “I won’t bowl there anyway.” Speaking further, Jadeja also said “Why would I do that? My focus is on batting,” to English skipper Ben Stokes.

Ravindra Jadeja and Shubman Gill’s 203-run partnership takes India past 500 runs
Talking about the match, Indian skipper Shubman Gill and Ravindra Jadeja turned out to be the star performers for India on day two as the visitors crossed the 500-run mark in the first innings with a partnership of 203 runs for the sixth wicket, Jadeja got out after a well-made 89 runs off 137 balls hitting 10 fours and a six. On the other hand, Gill went on to score his maiden double hundred in Test cricket.
The Indian skipper reached his double hundred in 311 balls and became the first Indian captain to score a double hundred in Test in England. For England, Chris Woakes turned out to be most successful bowlers in the Test match so far with two scalps while Shoaib Bashir, Ben Stokes, Brydon Carse and Josh Tongue scalped a wicket each. Currently, Gill is taking the innings further along with Washington Sundar at the crease.
