Team India and Punjab Kings (PBKS) star spinner Yuzvendra Chahal’s comment appeared on famous American YouTuber IShowSpeed’s Instagram feed, in his attempt to clear the latter's doubt about India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi. It happened when the renowned social media influencer came across Modi’s Instagram profile and watched a video before perceiving the political leader as a singer. Going ahead, he drops a text to Modi for collaboration. However, later he found that Modi isn’t an artist but the Prime Minister of India. Knowing the fact, the Youtuber apologises for the gaffe through a voice text.

Apart from his voice note to Narendra Modi, another thing that attracted a lot of attention was the appearance of Yuzvendra Chahal’s comment on the American’s Instagram profile. During the live streaming, the India spinner also strove to make it clear that Modi isn’t an artist but the Prime of India. “No singer he’s our Prime Minister,” wrote Chahal. Recently, he reacted to Virat Kohli's Test retirement.

Yuzvendra Chahal’s performance in IPL 2025

Yuzendra Chahal, who became the most-expensive full-time spinner in IPL 2025, has taken 14 wickets in 10 matches for Punjab at an economy of 9.85 in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025. His best performance came against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) on April 15, picking up 4/28 figures in four overs to help his team defend a low total of 111 successfully. He hasn’t played the last few games for PBKS at the marquee event due to minor niggle.

After the defeat against Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in Qualifier 1, Punjab’s next contest is at the Narendra Modi Stadium on June 1. It will be interesting to witness if Chahal recovers from the injury to make a comeback in Punjab’s playing XI in the summit clash.
