Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) opener and Australia international Mitchell Marsh has looked in sensational touch with his bat in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 game against Gujarat Titans (GT) at the distinguished Narendra Modi Stadium. Batting first after losing the toss, Lucknow got an aggressive start from their openers Marsh and Aiden Markram. Both stitched a 91-run stand off 59 balls and handed their team command over the game. Markram went back to the pavilion after chipping in with his rapid 36 off 24. The Protea stalwart fell against Sai Kishore while attempting to produce a massive shot from his bat.
Before Markram’s dismissal, Marsh cleared the fence in R Sai Kishore’s second over and brought his sixth fifty of the tournament in just 33 balls. LSG are looking to post a massive total on the board as Marsh along with Nicholas Pooran is showing no mercy towards GT bowlers. The 33-year-old Australian is heading towards notching up his maiden IPL ton as he is playing at an unbeaten 89 that has come off just 51 balls.
Talking about Pooran, he has also pounded bowlers ruthlessly and has accumulated unbeaten 29 runs off 15 deliveries. As of writing, Super Giants are 160/1 in just 15 overs. Except for Sai Kishore, no bowler has got success in inflicting damage on the visiting side LSG.
