Italian footballer Giorgio Chielleni was a part of the Juventus team for almost the whole part of his career. Considered as the wall of Juventus during his time as a centre-back in the team, the Italian international was known for his strength, aggressiveness, man-marking, and ability to play in either a three or four-man defense. With Juventus, he won the Serie A nine times and helped the Italian national team to win the Euro in 2020.
After his tenure at Juventus FC, in the year 2022, Chielleni made a move to the MLS and joined Los Angeles FC. During his two seasons at the club, the Italian international made 45 appearances for the club. He won the Supporters Shield and MLS Cup in his first season, before announcing retirement the following year at the age of 39. Following the end of his wonderful career as a football player, he has now taken a major step by becoming a part of the ownership club of LAFC.

In a statement released by LAFC, Giorgio Chielleni said that, “When I arrived here three years ago as a player, I immediately felt that there was something special about this club. It is an ambitious organization, built by extraordinary people and supported by a community that truly makes you feel at home.” He also clarified the reason for joining the side as its owner.
Chielleni also served as a player development coach for LAFC in the year 2024 after he decided to hang up his boots as a player. The lead managing owner of the club, Bennett Rosenthal stated that Giorgio has always brought tremendous leadership, professionalism and character everywhere he goes and his values perfectly align with the long-term vision they have for LAFC.
