Victor Osimhen, who was loaned out by Napoli in the previous season, played a crucial role for the Turkish team to win the league in their last campaign. He also finished as the leading goal-scorer in the league, scoring 37 goals and providing six assists in the 41 appearances that he made for the Turkish champions across all competitions. While he is in the transfer market at the moment, every team would like to have him due to his ball rotation and goal-scoring abilities. But recent reports have revealed that Galatasaray are willing to extend his time at the club.
Recent developments, as quoted by Fabrizio Romano suggest, “Galatasaray will approach Napoli again for Victor Osimhen with a new proposal after €60m turned down”. While Napoli want the deal to be more than €60m with better payment terms than before, Galatasaray are confident that they can manage to strike a deal as personal terms are agreed with the Nigerian striker until June 2028. The other club that is looking out on the situation of Osimhen is Manchester United.
Victor Osimhen adamant to not continue at Napoli: Reports
Victor Osimhen had left Napoli on loan last season after reportedly having a breakdown in relations with their manager Antonio Conte. He is keen on leaving the club even after scoring 76 goals in 133 matches for the Italian side. However, the Serie A champions do not want to sell him to a rival club in the same league and are now looking out for the clubs who can bring the best deal on the table.
Galatasaray want to sign Osimhen on a permanent deal, by this he will link up with the latest signing of the Turkish champions which is Leroy Sane from Bayern Munich. Galatasaray will be looking forward to defending their league title after strengthening the front line of the team. However, nothing is in the final stages yet and Osimhen is still on cards for any other team if they come up with a better offer for the Nigerian international.
