Stefano Pioli is an Italian football manager, who managed Saudi club Al-Nassr in the previous campaign. Pioli has managed various teams in his career such as Bologna, Lazio, Inter Milan, and Fiorentona in the Serie A, apart from Al-Nassr in the Saudi Pro League. The 59-year-old Italian manager parted ways with the Saudi club Al-Nassr because they were unable to win major trophies together. Al-Nassr announced last week that Pioli has left the club ahead of the upcoming campaign.

And now, Fiorentina have now announced Stefano Pioli as their manager on their social media handles. The Italian previously coached them from 2017 to 2019, and back then, he was credited with fostering a positive environment and developing young players. The 59-year-old replaces Raffaele Palladino at the helm after he left the club in May. Stefano Pioli has signed a three-year contract at the club which will mark a return to his boyhood club. Fiorentina finished on the sixth place on the table in the last season which will see them compete in the UEFA Conference league this season.

I am very happy that Stefano Pioli is the new coach of Fiorentina's first team: Fiorentina President

After completing the signing of their former coach Stefano Pioli back to the team, the Fiorentina President Rocco Commisso stated that he is very happy with Pioli’s return. He further said, "From the very first moment I spoke to him, I found a coach with great human values who is ready to do everything he can for this club and this city, which he knows very well and has a close bond with." Pioli previously managed Fiorentina before he started his journey at AC Milan.

Pioli is very familiar with the Serie A as he has managed 493 Serie A matches, winning 217 matches and losing 144 matches. The Italian will look to put his best foot forward with his new team and will aim for a top four finish in the Serie A, apart from taking his team as far as possible in the European competition.
