Chelsea went through to the knockouts after an astonishing performance against ES Tunis, managing to secure a 3-0 victory. First goal from the new Chelsea striker Liam Delap and double assists from Enzo Fernandez made sure that Chelsea do not get eliminated from the competition just yet. Chelsea are currently placed second in Group D and are all set for battle against Benfica in this huge clash in the knockouts.

On the other hand, Benfica managed to defeat the mighty Bayern 1-0 and emerge to secure the top spot in Group C. Their goalkeeper Trubin had an excellent second-half making a superb reflex save from Pavlovic and denying Leroy Sane from scoring one, which helped them to clinch victory against the German side and progress further in to the tournament.

Although Bayern were already through to the RO16 before the match against Benfica, they had emerged victorious in this fixture in order to top the group, however they failed to do so which meant that Benfica had taken the top spot in the group. Bayern will face the Brazilian side Flamengo, who sit at the top of Group D after avoiding a loss against LAFC.

The Brazilian side managed to win two out of three games in the competition and secure an all important draw against LAFC which took them one point ahead of the English giants Chelsea. Chelsea's loss against Flamengo in their second group match proved to be the point of difference between both the teams.

The FIFA Club World Cup is now at the most exciting stages and it will be interesting to find out which of these four teams will prevail in the competition and secure a spot in the top eight.
