Arsenal are reportedly in search of a new left-winger for their team in the ongoing summer transfer window. The Gunners are reportedly prioritising the 24-year-old Brazilian forward Rodrygo, who is on top of their transfer list. One major problem for them has been their attacking line not being able to find as many goals as needed. This move makes sense for Mikel Arteta as Rodrygo is known for his goal-scoring ability and finishing which can be a major upgrade for them.
The Gunners are reportedly leading the race in order to acquire the left-winger while the future of their current Brazilian winger Gabriel Martinelli remains in question. They are also looking for options such as Benjamin Sesko from RB Leipzig and Victor Gyokeres from Sporting CP to become their leading No. 9 while nothing has been confirmed yet. While the young starboy is getting less game time now in Real Madrid, Arsenal will be hopeful in order to convince the Los Blancos for a transfer of the 24-year-old to the Emirates.
Rodrygo unable to find game time under Xabi Alonso: Reports
Rodrygo has been a very vital player for Madrid over the years, linking up with Vinicius Junior and providing goals and assists week in week out for Real Madrid. He was a guaranteed starter for the Los Blancos in the previous years under their former Manager Carlo Ancelotti. However, since the arrival of the New Boss Xabi Alonso things have not been the same. Rodrygo has been unable to find a lot of game time since his arrival which is leading to the speculations that Rodrygo might not be part of the plans for Xabi Alonso in the upcoming campaign.
Arsenal are reportedly considering an upgrade on Gabriel Martinelli as he has not been able to bag a large amount of goals in the previous campaign. They are in talks with Madrid over the situation of the Rodrygo and are willing to negotiate. However, the race is still open for anyone and there can be some last minute entrances in pursuit of the Brazilian wonderboy.
