Batting first, Hyderabad got a fierce start from their opener Abhishek Sharma, who scored swift 34 runs off just 17 balls. Following Abhishek’s departure, Kishan came at the crease and stitched crucial partnerships with Heinrich Klaasen and Aniket Verma. Klassen left the crease after hitting 24 off 13 while Verma also showcased his ferocious side and struck 26 runs off just nine balls. Kishan, who held one end, looked ruthless against Bengaluru bowlers.
Facing 48 balls, Kishan smashed an unbeaten 94 with the assistance of 12 boundaries (seven fours and five maximums). RCB’s lackluster bowling cost them in first innings of the game
RCB’s bowling attack looked completely out of rhythm against SRH’s aggressive batting unit. Ngidi bowled his four-over spell and splurged 51 runs at an economy of 12.75. He also picked up Abhishek Sharma's wicket. Suyash got the better of Klaasen but got smashed for 45 runs in his three overs.
However, Yash Dayal went through a difficult day as he gave away 36 runs in his three-over spell, at an economy of 12.00. Veteran Bhuvneshwar Kumar got rid of Travis Head in the fifth over but he also failed to contain the flow of runs. The 35-year-old leaked 43 runs in his four overs.
