Mumbai Indians (MI) captain Hardik Pandya has replied to Gujarat Titans (GT) captain Shubman Gill’s Instagram post on alleged rift between both India players. After MI’s 20-run win against GT, a video started doing rounds on the Internet and in the clip, it can be seen Gill passing Pandya without shaking hands after the toss in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 Eliminator played at the New PCA Stadium on May 30. Following the contest, it was claimed in the media that Gill ignored Pandya.

After the reports of the feud started gaining traction, Gill posted an Instagram story and urged Pandya not to believe in everything he came across on the internet. He also tagged Pandya in the post. “Nothing but love. (Don’t believe everything you see on the internet) @hardikpandya93,” wrote Gill on his Instagram story. Replying to India Test skipper’s story, Hardik took to Instagram and replied with the message, “Always Shubhu Baby.”

Shubman Gill to lead India in England Test series

With the defeat against MI in Eliminator, GT and Gill’s IPL 2025 campaign concluded. Gill will now next be seen as India captain against England in the upcoming five-match Test series to be kicked off from June 20. After Rohit Sharma’s Test retirement, the Board of Control for Cricket India (BCCI) has trusted the 25-year-old with the captaincy mantle.

His responsibility will be to lead India from the front to help the side to win the Test series on English soil after 18 years. In England, the young opener has played three Tests and has scored 88 runs in six innings. He will look to push himself as an opener to be impactful in both roles in England.
