There's always, and understandably so, massive excitement whenever Team India is to play an away series, especially because the challenges of contesting and playing away from home is a massive prospect for fans. You tend to see different talents being utilised, new players being given chances, especially when it is about a short or a brief series. Moreover, one gets to see some big and prominent names (the mainstays of the team) with a chance to please fans with daring performances. Now, all of that was in the works when it was known that as of August, not too far away, India was to travel to Bangladesh for a white-ball series. But unfortunately now, that very series seems to have fallen in the confines of uncertainty.

As reported by AFP, the Indian cricket team's forthcoming white-ball tour to Bangladesh is likely to get delayed or pushed by what could be a few more weeks. While there's not immense clarity right now as to when could the rescheduled white ball contests between India and Bangladesh take place, what is clearly known is that there's going to be a delay in India's imminent tour to the neighbouring country.

India's tour of Bangladesh tour likely to get postponed

The current ongoing tension between the two countries with regards to a diplomatic scuffle as being the reason for the series' "likely" delay. Last year, not long after Bangladesh's long standing PM Sheikh Hasina was toppled from her seat that Bangladesh erupted with furore in the forms of protests. The mass uprisings led to reverberations felt even in New Delhi.

However, the news about the white-ball tour of India to Bangladesh being postponed was carried forward by the well-known Bangladesh Cricket Board's media committee chairman Mr. Iftikhar Rahman who shared that the BCCI have indicated that the said tour could likely be postponed. Originally, the series comprising 3 one-dayers was to have commenced from August 17. But we shall have to wait for further updates.
