Vaibhav Suryavanshi, the Rajasthan Royals (RR) opener, who is just 14 years of age, took the Indian Premier League (IPL) by storm in the 2025 season, taking down some of the best bowlers in the world with incredible strokeplay, while showcasing strong mental acumen. The teenage sensation scored 252 runs in just seven matches at a jaw-dropping strike-rate of 206, including a hundred and a fifty, and his two milestone innings were the catalyst for RR’s victories in the latter stages of IPL 2025.

In his third IPL outing for Rajasthan Royals, Vaibhav Suryavanshi became the youngest player in league’s history to score a hundred, decimating the Gujarat Titans (GT) bowling attack on his way to reaching 101 runs in just 38 balls. His innings was laced with seven fours and 11 sixes, wowing the thousands in attendance at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur and the fans all over the world, and most importantly, it allowed RR to defeat GT by nine wickets, chasing down 210-run target with 25 balls to spare.

The last match of the IPL 2025 season for RR was yet another occasion when Vaibhav Suryavanshi shone with the bat, and this time around, he scored a mature fifty against Chennai Super Kings (CSK). The youngster got 57 runs in 33 balls with four fours and four sixes, to set up RR’s pursuit of 188-run target at the Arun Jaitley Stadium, and they ended up winning the match with six wickets in hand and 17 balls to spare.

After earning all the accolades on the field during the IPL 2025, Vaibhav Suryavanshi returned home to Samastipur in Bihar to a hero’s welcome. Rajasthan Royals took to their official X account, to share the short clip of the moment, wherein the youngster was garlanded in the presence of his family members and friends before he cut the cake in his honour.

Moreover, the next assignment for Vaibhav Suryavanshi in cricket will be the U-19 tour to England, and he will be playing under Ayush Mhatre’s captaincy.
