The Indian Street Premier League (ISPL) will be back with its third edition soon. Months ahead of the competition, the New Delhi franchise has got a new owner as Bollywood star Salman Khan has acquired a stake in the team. The 59-year-old actor made the announcement through a social media post. After becoming the owner of the franchise, Salman said he is fond of cricket and he is excited to associate himself with the league that provides the platform to street talents. “Cricket runs through the veins of India, and when that energy finds a stage like ISPL, it becomes something truly special. I’ve always loved the game, and I’m excited to be part of a league that brings street talent into the spotlight and gives them a platform to shine. Majhi Mumbai bag title in second season of the illustrious league

In the second installment of the league, Majhi Mumbai beat Srinagar Ke Veer by three wickets in the final and claimed their maiden title. Names such as Sagar Ali, Rajat Mundhe, Ketan Mhatre, Jagannath Sarkar, and Fardeen Kazi grabbed the limelight for their remarkable performances in the season.

Abhishek Dlahor, who looked extraordinary in the season, was hired by the Indian Premier League (IPL) team Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) as net bowlers for the 2025 edition of the cash-rich league. In the upcoming season, ISPL is expected to gain more popularity among cricket supporters. Before Salman, other renowned Bollywood personalities such as Amitabh Bachchan (Majhi Mumbai), Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan (Tigers of Kolkata), Akshay Kumar (Srinagar Ke Veer), Suriya (Chennai Singams), Hrithik Roshan (Bangalore Strikers), and Ram Charan (Falcon Risers Hyderabad) also became owners of the ISPL franchises.
