With the five-match Test series of the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy well poised at 1-1, the action will now shift towards the third Test, which is scheduled to commence from July 10 onwards at Lord’s Cricket Ground in London. Notably, the hosts, England won the opening Test by five wickets after they chased 371-run target on the final day, the Men in Blue stood strong in the second Test, registering a historic win by convincing margin of 336 runs in Birmingham.
With the two teams now set to put their best foot forward in the upcoming Test match in London, the Shubman Gill-led Men in Blue were seen toiling hard in the nets. Reaching London early on July 8, they resumed their practice at the Lord’s, taking the field in an optional training.
Jasprit Bumrah bowls full tilt at optional training ahead of Lord’s Test
While the Three Lions did not turn up on Tuesday, July 8, the Indian team decided to make the most as half of its members turned up for the practice. In the videos shared by IANS, Indian spearhead Jasprit Bumrah was seen bowling full tilt. If reports are to be believed, the Ahmedabad-born bowled for atleast an hour.
Apart from Bumrah, Arshdeep Singh, Nitish Kumar Reddy, Shardul Thakur - all were seen hitting hard in the nets, captain Shubman Gill, KL Rahul, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Rishabh Pant, Akash Deep and Mohammed Siraj were not part of the optional training.
