The Indian cricket team is currently locking horns with England in the second Test of the five-match series, currently underway at Edgbaston in Birmingham. However, the Men in Blue came into the second Test on the back of a five-wicket defeat despite putting 835 runs across the two innings in the first Test, they continued their dominant show with the bat, putting 1014 runs on the board.
After being put to bat first, India posted 587 runs on the board, courtesy a double-hundred from Shubman Gill and 80-plus scores from Yashasvi Jaiswal and Ravindra Jadeja. The bowlers also stepped up in absence of Jasprit Bumrah as they decimated the England lineup at 407, taking 180-run lead. At the end of Day 4, India posted 608-run target and will be looking to pick the remaining seven wickets quickly to level the series.
Harry Brook sledges Shubman Gill on Day 4; Captain’s reply goes viral
As Team India had extended their lead to over 450 runs, England’s white-ball captain, Harry Brook was seen sledging the Indian skipper, who was out their in the middle continuing to score runs from his bat. The incident took place in the second session of Day 4 as Gill and Brook were seen engaging in a light-hearted banter.
"450 declare. It's raining tomorrow. Half day, afternoon, it's raining," Book was heard saying on the stump mic. Gill did not let Brook’s comments hamper his batting and responded by saying, "Bad luck for us." The conversation has since then gone viral on social media which saw the England batter then reply, “take the draw”.

It is to be noted that Shubman Gill eventually declared the innings on 427/6 in the final session of the fourth day, setting a daunting target of 608 runs for the hosts. In response, England already lost three wickets and need 536 runs to win the second Test with Ollie Pope (24* off 44) and Harry Brook (15*) in the middle.
