Where did Team India go wrong?: Dinesh Karthik awaits reasons for Team India’s collapse in first Test
Seeing India go down in the first Test in Leeds despite putting up 835 runs across the two innings and five batters scoring centuries, former India cricketer-turned commentator, Dinesh Karthik was left fuming. The former wicketkeeper-batter, who is currently in England for commentary duties, shared altogether different kind of video, where he left fans to drop in comments, the reasons which led to India’s defeat.
“This one is not the usual reel. I want you guys to tell me in the comments, where did Team India go wrong? They scored 835 runs, five individual hundreds across two innings, no team has ever lost a Test match after doing that. Was it lack of support for Bumrah, was it the fielding that led them down, or is it the two collapses that they had, 7/41 and 6/31 or anything else? Do let me know in the comments. I’ll comeback to what I think what let India down, but before that I want you guys to tell me why? I’ll wait,” he was left questioning in the video.

However, the reasons behind Team India’s collapse are ample, it could vary from the dropped catches on the field across the two innings despite the batters getting decent runs on the board. Even lack of support from other bowlers and picking key wickets at crucial intervals could be one of the reason. However, the Men in Blue will hope to set the chords right as they walk out strong in the second Test, which is scheduled to be played from July 2 to 6 at Edgbaston in Birmingham.
