Punjab Kings fast bowler Arshdeep Singh got involved in an hilarious conversation with Rajasthan Royals opener Yashasvi Jaiswal after match number 59 of IPL 2025 between both the teams at Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur on Sunday. Notably, PBKS defeated RR by 10 runs in a high-scoring encounter to register their eighth win of the season. However, despite losing the match, Jaiswal ended up smashing 50 runs off 25 balls hitting nine fours and a six.

Yashasvi Jaiswal gave RR a flying start as he smashed 22 runs of the very first over of the innings by Arshdeep Singh and was looking in great touch. The star PBKS pacer had a rough day on the field as he went on to concede 60 runs in his spell of four overs without taking any wicket. However, after the match, Arshdeep shared a video on his Instagram along with Jaiswal and taunted him for hitting 22 runs off his over.

“Bohot mara be, dhaga hi khol diya” Arshdeep Singh said to Yashasvi Jaiswal to which Jaiswal replied “Maine bola tha isko mai maarunga ek din.” He shared the video with a caption “Sometime WIN, sometime learn and WIN.”

PBKS qualify for the playoffs after 11 years

Punjab Kings finally ended their drought of 11 years to qualify for the IPL playoffs for the first time after 2014. After PBKS defeated RR by 10 runs, they registered their eighth win of the season. However, their playoffs spot was confirmed after Gujarat Titans defeated Delhi Capitals by 10 wickets in the evening match at Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi.

With GT’s win, total of three teams including the likes of GT, PBKS and Royal Challengers Bengaluru are now officially qualified for the IPL 2025 playoffs. Meanwhile, Delhi Capitals, Mumbai Indians and Lucknow Super Giants are now in competition to to seal the fourth spot for the playoffs.
