Youngest sensation of IPL 2025, Vaibhav Suryavanshi met Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi at Patna Airport on Friday, May 30. Along with Vaibhav, his father Sanjiv Suryavanshi and mother Aarti Suryavanshi were also present at the Patna airports as the Indian Prime Minister had a chat with them for a few moments. Vaibhav Suryavanshi, who is now 14 years old, became the youngest IPL pick when Rajasthan Royals roped him in for INR 1.1 crore at the age of 13 years. He has a memorable season where he amassed 252 runs in seven matches at a strike rate of 206.55.
Vaibhav Suryavanshi also stunned everyone by hitting the fastest IPL hundred by an Indian player in the IPL as he completed his ton in just 35 balls in a match against Gujarat Titans in Ahmedabad. Sharing a glimpse of his interaction with Vaibhav and his parents on X, PM Narendra Modi wrote, “At Patna airport, met the young cricketing sensation Vaibhav Suryavanshi and his family. His cricketing skills are being admired all over the nation! My best wishes to him for his future endeavours.”

Earlier, Indian PM Narendra Modi also heaped praise on Vaibhav Suryavanshi for his 35-ball hundred against Gujarat Titans at Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur. While addressing the nation during the inauguration of the Khelo India Youth Games in Patna, Modi took example of how Vaibhav made such a big record in a very young age.
"We all have seen the outstanding performance of the son of Bihar, Vaibhav Suryavanshi, in IPL. Vaiabhav has created such a big record at this young age. Behind his game, there is his labour for sure, but playing matches at different levels has also helped him. It means 'jo jitna khelega, wo utna khilega'..." Modi said during his speech on May 4.
